Review: Interim Goddess of Love - Book #1 Goddess Series - Mina V. Esguerra - January 2012

 It's always interesting discovering new book trends as lately one for me that I seem to be reading a bit more is Filipino fiction. One of my other favourite things though that I love to read is books about Gods and Goddesses and especially set in the modern world. In "Interim Goddess of Love" we meet Hannah whom is a SK ( Scholarship Kid) at Ford - a rich and wealthy college. Hannah during her sophomore year is approached by one of the school Hottie's Quin and told that she is to be the "Interim Goddess of Love" as the original Goddess has gone missing.  Hannah can't believe what she is hearing as she hasn't even had a boyfriend yet - how can she be the Goddess of Love if she has never experienced it for herself ? In this book Hannah will get her first major assignment - a girl named Kathy who has always viewed herself as Invisible Kathy. Now Kathy has been recieving secret admirer gifts of her favourite things - has she got someone with her eye on her or is he in fact just a creepy stalker ? It is up to Hannah to discover and use her Goddess learnt skills to match Kathy up with her secret admirer ? Also during this book , we discover that Hannah has a few admirers herself - one including Robbie who is Quin and Diego who are both Gods mortal friend. Can Hannah push her crush on Quin aside to discover what kind of guy Robbie is ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
