Imagine if you had access to an App that made all your decisions for you ? Would you readily accept the application and go with what it said or would you rebel against the system and machines ? In a society where Lux rules your world and the voice of reason or in this case "doubt" is seen as a mental illness. Rory has just been accepted to Theden Academy - a Greek system school which very rigorous academic acceptance and a school where only the best and brightest attend. Rory is also a legacy , her mother attended the school but she has only just found out that and it seems that her mother has a dark secret and one that lead to her being killed. What will happen though when it seems that Rory has inherited not only her mother's talent but also her father's ? When people close to her start to die and strange things happen and it seems that people are after Rory, who can she turn to and trust ? What secrets are worth killing and protecting and how is it all connected to Rory ? Was her acceptance to the school a set-up or is she really in the right place for her not only to achieve her greatness and improve her knowledge but also to finish what her mother started before she died ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
