VBT# Lessons in Love - Clarissa Carlyle

Review: Lessons in Love - Clarissa Carlyle - Book #1 LIL Series - February 2014

Life can be a fleeting moment and it can change in a heartbeat, you can go from having everything to having nothing at all. That's what happened to Alexandra Herron when her dad was shot in a wrong place, wrong time shop hold-up. After he died her family lost everything as he had died leaving debt behind. Alex had to leave her private school life and flash house and move to a trailer park with her mum and brother and attend public school. Here she decided to re-invent herself and become Alex Herron - Cheerleader and barely scraping by on her grades and not Alexandra Herron - Violin player and maths genius. Its her last year at school and Alex is Head Captain of the Cheerleading squad and all is going well with her facade until a new maths teacher arrives Mr. Simmons. He is the only one who can see through Alex's facade and soon , they are spending time together in and out of the classroom. Can Mr. Simmons be the push that Alex needs to get her life back on track and to start re-discovering who she is ?
Find out in Book #1 of the Lessons of Love Series. This was a quick read and had that teacher/student relationship going on but what I loved about this book was that the relationship wasn't over-exaggerated and over-sexualised like I have read in the past.
