Review: Submerged - Dani Pettrey

Review: Submerged - Book #1 Alaskan Courage Series - Dani Pettrey- April 2012

After growing up in the small-town of Yancey, Alaska and earning a bad reputation after a bad night of drinking etc, Bailey left Yancey and the guy she loved behind and vowed never to return. She went to university and got a PhD in Russian Studies and now teaches at the University and goes to church every Sunday. Bailey is a different person compared to what she left behind in Yancey. Though, Bailey is called back to Yancey when she gets news that her Aunt Agnes has passed away. Bailey soon learns that she was killed in a aeroplane accident and that when two more murders are revealed, it seems that her Aunt's death wasn't an accident. It seems that while her Aunt was working at her Russian -Alaska Trading Post store , she discovered a lost diary from the "real" Romanovs which traces back the bloodlines and it is discovered that there are three heirs to the Romanov fortune, though now two are dead and it is up to Bailey with the help of the McKenna Family - they are the owners of the Last Frontier Adventure and rents out caving/diving equipment and help with their small-town rescues etc. Also included though in the McKenna Family, is Cole McKenna - he is the one Bailey let slip away - the one guy she has always loved but after that night believed she wasn't worthy of him, so she broke both their hearts and fled - never to return until now. Has God thrown them together to solve this mystery and get a second chance at love ? Can Cole and God, show Bailey that Love Forgives ?
