Reading this book, I felt like I had actually read it before but seeing as I hadn't written a review I'm not too sure. The Resistance series starting with Book #1 Revival is a book that all those fans of Brigid Kemmerer's series "The Elementals" will love. Revival takes place with the introduction of Alexandra Potter aka Alex. A few months ago , she not only caught her boyfriend Connor cheating on her with the school skank Jessica but she also developed her first sign of powers. On what started out as a normal day , will have Alex ending the day questioning everything she has ever known that she thought or has been told the truth. As Alex's parents were murdered and her parents and Aunt Cecilia are in fact part of a group called "The Variants". It is discovered that an Assassin is after Alex as she is a very special kind of Variant. She has three skills but also the ability to absorb others powers leaving them rendered useless for a short-time. Can Alex work together with her newfound friends to train and learn how to harness her powers as well as helping them stop the bad guys that want to destroy and harm all Variants around the world.
