Review: This is What Happy Looks Like - Jennifer .E. Smith - April 2013

Imagine recieving an email or in today's society, a text message. The message is supposed to be for someone else, but you randomly reply back anyway and a friendship via email or text strikes up. I loved this concept as surprisingly enough , that is what happened between me and my date for the 7th form ball . We started texting a few years before and struck a text friendship as he had meant to text someone else while at Cricket Camp. We soon began texting all day and every day, it was part of our daily routine and then we finally met . In Jennifer E. Smith's new book "This is What Happy Looks Like" , we meet Graham Larkin who was supposed to email a friend and ended up emailing Ellie O'Neal. Graham lives in California and Ellie in Henley, Maine. The two believe that they will never met and become pen-pals via email. What we discover next though is that Ellie's email partner is hiding a big secret - he is in fact Hollywood teen heart-throb and he is currently filming a film in Henley, Maine. What will happen when the pair finally meet ? Will they get on in person as they do on email or will their meeting be awkward ? Ellie has some family secrets, that they would prefer to keep hidden - when Ellie starts seeing Graham - will she be able to keep those secrets hidden away or once they are in the limelight - her family's past be scandalised across the newspapers once again ?
Find out in Jennifer E. Smith's new teen romance novel "This is What Happy Looks Like". This is another book worth reading and all will enjoy.

  1. "This Is What Happy Looks Like" is a sweet and simple novel about the emotional growths of two very different, yet very similar, teenagers. The evocative writing brings the story to life, and it is undoubtedly the perfect book to bring to the poolside on those bright summer days!
