Review: Fifteen Minutes - Karen Kingsbury

Review: Fifteen Minutes - Karen Kingsbury - October 2013

Do you enjoy reading contemporary Christian Fiction ? What about books based on reality TV Shows like American Idol type thing ? One of my favourite Christian authors is Karen Kingsbury and she has written a book titled "Fifteen Minutes" which is a based on an American Idol type show called "Fifteen Minutes" where one lucky contestant will have the chance to become a Singing Superstar. One of the contestants is Christian Worship Singer Leader Zack Dylan. He is your typical Southern Christian Gentleman who resembles a bit of an Elvis look there and with a voice to match.  As the show gets on and Zack passes through each stage, he is about to discover that being a Christian and doing the show "Fifteen Minutes" can clash and sometimes you are forced to choose one or the other and even change your thinking to suit what "sells" . As we read on, we watch Zack start to slowly change, but will he be able to get out fast before the fame and fortune is the stronger pull ?
What path will Zack choose ? The righteous path where he is still standing strong for God or the wayward path that comes with the statueses of fame and fortune and along the way losing your morals, values and ethics ?
Find out in this awesome and yet powerful Christian novel which takes a look at the power of knowing God and the downside of being a Christian on Reality TV.
