Review: Rule - Book#1 Marked Men Series - Jay Crownover - December 2012

Rule Archer and Shaw Landon have known each other since they were both fourteen years old , when Shaw first meet the Archer family via Rule's twin brother Remy. The three of them growing up were inseparable, with Remy being the good twin and Rule - the outcast. However, with Remy as the family buffer all was good until three years ago when Remy left to pick up Rule from a party and never returned home alive. Now three years later, Shaw has had enough of the family belittling Rule and refuses to see them till they start treating Rule like the person he is , the person she knows is there underneath all that tough exterior of tattoos and purple and black dyed hair.  Standing up for what they both believe in, means the end of Sunday brunch and the two of them seeing each other . However, it seems the pair can't stay away and soon Shaw and Rule start a relationship but can Shaw prove to Rule that it is him that she has always wanted and not Remy ? What will happen though when Shaw's ex-boyfriend Gabe who has connections in high places and wealth is not done with Shaw and will go to lengths to ensure that he has Shaw to himself? Will Shaw and Rome Archer - the big brother show a new side of Rule to his parents ?
A fast-paced and down to earth New Adult book which will show readers, that even when you have spent your life living in one's shadow that no matter what you have to continue trying to be yourself and stand up to be heard.
