Review: Wide Awake - Book #1 Wide Series - Shelly Crane - March 2013
As people who read The Phantom Paragrapher will know is that I am a huge fan of the "New Adult Catergory" and for those who know me personally I love the whole Amnesiac storyline. So when I saw that Shelly Crane whom of course I loved as well had written a new one with all my favourite aspects combined I just had to read it.
Wide Awake tells the tale of Emma whom has been in a coma for the past six months, not knowing if she will ever wake - her family have been preparing for the worst. Six months later , she wakes up but the downside is she cannot remember who she is and those around her. The only comfort she has is in her therapist Mason , whom later we discover he knows exactly what Emma is going through.  Wide Awake tells the readers of the ups and downs that Emma must go to in order to regain her life back , however what happens when Emma discovers that her past-life pre-accident wasn't all that it is cracked up to be. Sure she was Miss Popular and Spoilt, but the new Emma isn't like that. Wide Awake is not only the story of how Emma starts her life from scratch but also opens readers eyes to the incidents leading up to the accident and in parts will have the reader's eyes tearing as I know mine did.
For those who loved this book as much as I did , will be pleased to know that Shelly Crane has coming up to be released - Book #2 :) YAY.
