Review: Smokin' Seventeen - Janet Evanovich

According to my blog , it was on December 24th 2011 that I started my journey into the world of Stephanie Plum and now on 17th April 2013 , I only have two more to read :)
Well 4 more if you count the fillers :) but what counts is that I am making my way through them all.
Review: Smokin' Seventeen - Book #17 Stephanie Plum Series - Janet Evanovich - June 2011
It's Stephanie Plum time again with myslef plowing into Book #17 of the series. I found personally Book #17 to be not as powerful and intriguing as the others and I would agree that if you have not read the previous books in the series , then please do not read this one as a stand-alone as you will be confused. After the antics in Sizzlin' Sixteen which saw the office of Vinnie's Bail Bonds burnt to the ground - the team have moved their headquarters into the Mooner's Bus. The Mooner refers to Doug Mooner who went to school with Joe and Stephanie. In Smokin' Seventeen we read as Stephanie has her choice of men with the number going from two to three - she has newcomer Dave who can cook but he seems a tad stalkerish , Joe Morelli of course and the hunky Ranger who we see him and Stephanie getting down and doing the dirty and in more than one place. As always we have dead bodies turning up and numerous in the case of Smokin' Seventeen , an old man who thinks he's a Vampire and again what would a Stephanie Plum novel be if there weren't black "Rangerman" cars being blown up etc.
Smokin' Seventeen left on a cliffhanger as Stephanie was given two tickets to Thailand - so who will she take ? Joe , Ranger or will it be a girls trip with Lula or will she take the fun lovin' Grandma Mazur ?
