Today's review is Book #2 of her Gwen Frost Series - A Kiss of Frost.
Review: Kiss of Frost - Gwen Frost #2 - Jennifer Estep - November 2011
I'm not sure what it is , but two of my favourite types and this is from a long list of favourites as I'm a HUGE and ECLECTIC reader is boarding school novels and mythology. The boarding school probably stems from the fact ,that I always wished I went to boarding school but we could never afford it and the mythology stems from personal interest - I find it so fascinating.  Jennifer Estep's new series Mythos Academy has it all , as I present to you Book #2 Kiss of Frost. In the first book "A touch of Frost" our main character Gwen Frost discovered that their was more to her gyspy power and that she was in fact a "champion" which is like a servant to the Gods, her God is Nike "the goddess of war". Back in the ages , Nike defeated Loki - the god of chaos and sentenced him to Exile for Gods and Goddesses and now though Loki is almost back and has a group of reapers doing his dirty work for him to destroy Gwen.  In Kiss of Frost, Gwen is just getting over the fact that she nearly died and the revelation of her family's history when it seems that trouble can't stay away from her . We read as Cars come to ram her , mysterious arrows and wolves all come her way. When an opportunity arises for Gwen to get away and have fun , she goes along with newfound friend Daphne to Mythos's "Winter Carnvale" where all the warrior students from all around the world come together and have fun. Gwen , still getting over the fact that she was rejected from Spartan Logan is down in the dumps but when newcomer Preston - a Viking captures her attention , is he enough to take her mind off Logan ? What happens though when it seems that somebody wants Gwen dead , have the reapers infiltrated "Winter Carnavale"? Find out in Kiss of Frost , where we also get a range of surprises from Who really killed Gwen's mother ? to Who's family with who and of course who is in love with who ?
All this and more in Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep and stay tuned readers as I bring you Book #3 Dark Frost.
