Tears in Heaven

Review: Tears in Heaven - Donald - October 2009

Today's Book is  not normally a thing I read but as soon as I got into it , I was like WOW. This book is definitely one that if you have a bible handy with you - keep it next to your bedside as you read Tears in Heaven it will soon become like a biblical treasure hunt as scattered throughout the sentences on the pages are biblical references e.g Thy will be done (from the Lord's Prayer, Matthew 6:10, Luke 11:2) . As you read , you will be flipping through your bible and I like how the author has written it in the novel as it keeps the reader excited.
Tears in Heaven is about an aspergers syndrome guy who has passed away and waiting ready to enter with him into Heaven is the girl Jennifer whom he loved through high school and of course we later discover his writing muse Thalia - an Angel of sorts. Tears of Heaven as you are about to read is a spin on the Rapture talked about in Revelations or if you have read the books "Left Behind" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins you know what I am talking about - if not it is when God has returned to earth and all those who are saved will return with him to Heaven,
It's the end of the world! With the rapture, believers leave Earth for heaven. Yet, for our narrator, even Paradise is Hades. He's still pining over his unrequited love. He finds some comfort from the muse of comedy. Then Jesus assigns him to discover: why are there tears in heaven? . . . Jesus also warns against a "posthumous work"--a description of heaven, sent back in time. There's no way the narrator would write that book--which is certain to offend. Yet, we are reading it! Who would have thought that heaven is so humorous, so sad, so strange?
This is a story that I recommend everybody to read and you can always look up the verses at a later date.
To give the reader a quick insight into the story , I thought I would add the excerpt of the introduction :

Introduction

How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which is not lawful for a man to utter. 2 Corinthians 12:4
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4
This is a work of fiction. Even so, I have relied on extensive Bible research. Despite my attempts at scriptural accuracy, I apologize for the significant amount of potentially offensive material. Controversy may be unavoidable when exploring the topics of death, love, sex and morality.
You are welcome to distribute this work freely. I am not seeking credit or remuneration. Although the complete novel is posted on this site, there's something special about holding a physical book. Therefore, this book may be purchased at http://www.amazon.com/Tears-Heaven-Donald/dp/1452831041  Amazon is also a great site for posting reviews!
Because there are a few song references, I've taken the liberty of providing samples. Also, for a theme song, here's a portion of "Acropolis," from the album The Symphonic Jean-Michel Jarre: www.812591.info/acropolis_sample.mp3
